1. Refund Policy Overview

At IconKing, we want you to be completely satisfied with your subscription. We offer a straightforward, no-questions-asked 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. This policy explains how refunds work and how to request one.

Simple Promise: If you're not happy with IconKing for any reason within 30 days of your purchase, we'll refund your payment in full. It's that simple.

2. Refund Eligibility

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

All of our paid plans are eligible for a full refund if requested within 30 days of the initial purchase or renewal charge:

  • Pro Plan (Monthly): Full refund within 30 days of your first monthly payment or any renewal
  • Pro Plan (Yearly): Full refund within 30 days of your annual payment or renewal
  • Lifetime Access: Full refund within 30 days of your one-time purchase

  • Initial Purchases: First-time subscription or Lifetime purchase
  • Renewals: Automatic subscription renewals (monthly or yearly)
  • Upgrades: Upgrading from one plan to another

Free Plan

The Free plan does not involve payment, so refunds do not apply. You can use the Free plan indefinitely at no cost.

3. How to Request a Refund

Requesting a refund is simple. Choose one of the following methods:

  • Transaction ID: Your transaction or order ID from Paddle (found in your receipt email)

Method 2: Paddle Billing Portal

You can also request a refund directly through Paddle, our payment processor:

  1. Open the payment receipt email from Paddle
  2. Click "View Receipt" or "Manage Subscription"
  3. Log into the Paddle billing portal
  4. Navigate to your subscription or purchase
  5. Click "Request Refund" and follow the prompts

4. Processing Time

We process refund requests as quickly as possible. Here's what to expect:

  • Refund Processing: 5-7 business days from acknowledgment
  • Weekends & Holidays: May add 1-2 days to response time

Bank/Card Processing

After we process your refund through Paddle, your bank or card issuer will need additional time:

  • Debit Cards: Typically 5-10 business days
  • PayPal: Typically 1-3 business days
  • Bank Transfers: Varies by country (up to 10 business days)

Total Timeline

From the time you request a refund to when you see the money in your account:

  • Typical Case: 7-14 days
  • Slowest Case: Up to 17 days (bank transfers, holidays)

5. Account Access After Refund

When a refund is processed, here's what happens to your account and content:

Immediate Changes

  • Plan Downgrade: Your account is immediately downgraded to the Free plan
  • Download Limits: Free plan limits apply (10 downloads per day)
  • Private Storage: Limited to 5 animations (Free plan limit)
  • No Future Charges: Your subscription is cancelled - you won't be billed again

Previously Downloaded Animations

Good News: You retain the license for all animations you downloaded while your subscription was active. This means:

  • You can continue using animations you already downloaded
  • Your commercial license remains valid for those files
  • This is outlined in our Terms of Service

Private Animations (90-Day Grace Period)

Your private animations (uploads) are handled with care:

  • Preserved for 90 Days: We keep your private animations for 90 days after refund
  • Resubscribe Anytime: If you resubscribe within 90 days, you regain full access
  • Download Before Cancelling: We recommend downloading your private animations before requesting a refund
  • After 90 Days: Private animations may be permanently deleted to manage storage

Download History

Your download history is preserved indefinitely. This serves as proof of your license rights for animations you downloaded while subscribed.

6. Exceptions & Special Cases

While we offer a generous 30-day money-back guarantee, there are a few situations where refunds may not be available:

Beyond 30-Day Window

Refund requests received after 30 days from the purchase or renewal date are generally not eligible for automatic refund. However, we may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Contact [email protected] to discuss your situation.

Terms of Service Violations

Accounts terminated for violating our Terms of Service are not eligible for refunds. This includes:

  • Fair Usage Policy Abuse: Mass downloading with automated tools, account sharing
  • Fraudulent Activity: Using stolen payment methods, chargebacks
  • Reselling Content: Redistributing animation files in violation of license terms
  • Malicious Behavior: Attempting to hack, exploit, or damage our service

Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer instead of requesting a refund through proper channels:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended
  • You will be banned from making future purchases
  • We may pursue legal action for the chargeback fees and damages

Please use our refund process first. Chargebacks should only be used if we fail to respond to your refund request within a reasonable time.

Promotional Pricing & Discounts

Refunds are processed for the amount you actually paid. If you used a discount code or promotional pricing, you'll be refunded that discounted amount (not the full price).

Discretionary Exceptions

7. Cancellation Without Refund

If you want to cancel your subscription but don't need a refund (or are outside the 30-day window), you can cancel your subscription to stop future charges.

How to Cancel Subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

  1. Log into your IconKing account
  2. Go to Settings → Subscription
  3. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  4. Confirm cancellation

Alternatively, manage your subscription through the Paddle billing portal (link in your receipt emails).

What Happens After Cancellation

  • Access Until Period End: You keep your Pro features until the end of your current billing period
  • No Future Charges: You won't be billed when the period ends
  • No Partial Refunds: You paid for the full billing period, so we don't issue prorated refunds for unused time
  • Automatic Downgrade: At period end, your account becomes a Free plan

Example Timeline

  • January 1: You subscribe to Pro Monthly ($10/month)
  • January 20: You cancel your subscription
  • January 21-31: You still have full Pro access (you paid for January)
  • February 1: Your account downgrades to Free (no charge)
  • Going Forward: No future charges unless you resubscribe

Reactivating Your Subscription

You can reactivate your subscription at any time by:

  • Going to Settings → Subscription → "Upgrade to Pro"
  • Visiting the Pricing page and selecting a plan

If you resubscribe within 90 days of cancellation, your private animations will be restored automatically.
